Learn from mistakes - Top 10 HYIP Mistakes

Mistake 1: Spending too much too soon
This is probably the biggest mistake I've made in HYIP land, and the one that taught me the most.

I'd been in HYIPs for around 9 months. Things were going strong, my confidence was growing and one of the programs had just paid out a very nice profit.

In my excitement I invest all of this profit into a single HYIP that I found in the top of one of the rating sites. It's been rated in the top 3 for the last 6 months. Everyone was writing rave reviews about it. It looks and smells like a sure thing, so why waste time making a small spend?

Not even 7 days later and the warnings started to come. By that stage I could see my investment drifting away.

That investment had taken me over 4 months to earn. Within a few hours of receiving it I was able to give it away. That's a pretty good effort eh.

The experience gave me a real good wakeup call. Up to that point I'd been putting large chunks of my investments into individual HYIPs.

That's when I realized what people meant by "test spends"... ahhh. So you spend a little bit, and if they pay you, THEN you spend the rest. What a novel and practical idea.

After gaining more experience with HYIPs I realized that a single test spend isn't enough. Some HYIPs will pay you for small spends, but when it comes to real (larger) spends you won't see a cent of profit.

And you can't rely on rating sites feedback because sometime they get better treatment from HYIP admins!

So now a days I spend a little at a time gradually building my active balance.

Mistake 2: Not testing the withdraw function
Has this ever happened to you: you've invested in an attractive HYIP, your profit is growing day after day, everything is going nicely ... until you decide to withdraw some of your profit.

Either the withdraw function doesn't work at all, or your withdrawal is forever pending.

After I make my initial test spend with any HYIP I do a test withdrawal. I don't invest any more funds until the withdrawal is successful.

Mistake 3: Focusing on individual programs instead of the overall plan
I think everyone (including myself) have their favorite HYIPs. Those HYIPs that pay us regularly and we feel comfortable with.

Maybe their web site color is our favorite color! Or they've worded things in a way that sings for us.

But every time I find myself focusing my spends on one particular HYIP I remember a piece of advice that I once got: "Focus on the overall plan and not on individual HYIPs".

To me this is a fantastic philosophy for managing a HYIP portfolio.

When you think about it, putting our faith in one, two or three individual HYIPs doesn't make any sense given the nature of these businesses.

So taking this philosophy I would much prefer to have 10 programs paying me $100 each to a total of $1000 than having 2 programs paying me $500 each.

It would be even better to have 30 programs paying a little bit each.

Obviously it's a lot harder to find 10-30 solid programs instead of focusing on 2 beloved HYIPs. But to me focusing on the overall picture and building multiple income streams helps me sleep at night.

Mistake 4: Not getting your original spend back quickly
I'm sure you've heard this a number of times before. Always get your seed money back as soon as possible.

Given the fact that most HYIPs tend to fold within 6 months, this does make sense.

Figuring out when to start withdrawing your profit is more of an art than a science.

For example, should I deposit a large amount and start withdrawing straight away? Or deposit a small amount and start withdrawing after one month?

This really depends on how long you think the HYIP is likely to last and how long it takes to get your original spend back.

To date, all HYIPs tend to either slow right down: like one of the original cyclers that has been around for 2 years and now has a 200 day+ cycle time; or they go out of business within 6 months.

Side Note: I believe some HYIPs have good intentions but fail to manage the business side of things correctly so they close shop. I don't believe all HYIPs that disappear are scams.

Given the empirical evidence it's best to plan your strategy based on the worst possible scenario.

A rule of thumb that I've heard thrown about is to withdraw your original investment as soon as possible then from there on keep half the profit and reinvest half.

I believe having a clear monthly plan is key to being successful with HYIPs. At the start of every month I ask myself the following question:

"What If one of my main investments goes under this month... will this be a problem for me?"

Based on the answer I can decide how much I should withdraw, how much I should reinvest and what new HYIPs I should join.

Mistake 5: Getting greedy
Making money with HYIPs isn't really the problem. It's keeping the money in our pocket that becomes difficult.

The temptation to reinvest every single cent to keep our profits growing is so great...

I remember a program that was paying 5% a day for 30 days. Every day I would wake up, check my egold account to find a nice little deposit. A couple of weeks pass and things are looking good, so I reinvested all of my profits. This goes on for about 3 months. By this stage I've grown my investment with this program by reinvesting all the profit. Now I can sit back and reap the rewards.

Unfortunately (you guessed it) the program stopped paying.

Obviously I got a bit greedy and wanted to multiply my profit quickly. As mentioned before a better approach might have been to reinvest half of the profit and take the rest to invest elsewhere.

Mistake 6: Doing what everyone else is doing
It's very interesting to watch some of the rating sites and how their Top Rated programs seem to fall one after the other. Maybe it's because all HYIPs have a limited life-span? or is it because of all the rumours that start floating around once a HYIP gets in the spotlight? Or maybe, too much money coming in is too hard to resist!

I've learnt to mix my program selection with some well known HYIPs and some more obscure (yet established) programs.

My ideal HYIP is one that isn't in the spotlight but has been paying successfully for a while (4 months or more).

Mistake 7: Saving up for one big withdrawal
Some HYIPs seem to struggle when making large payouts. I recall a HYIP that became very popular all of a sudden after being rated high on one of the rating sites. Within 3 weeks a number of large investors had started requesting withdrawals. It quickly became apparent that the admins didn't have the funds available to make the payments.

It's possible that they were scammers who weren't really investing the funds, but it's all possible that they'd invested all the funds and didn't have enough liquid funds to honor the withdrawal requests. Either way rumors flew and things spiraled badly. They were out of business within a couple of weeks.

I find that making small, regular withdrawals is often better for everyone.

Mistake 8: Investing without doing any research
If you're like me, the last thing you want to do when you find a promising HYIP is to do a whole heap of research. I'm usually hitting the spend button before you could say "google"!

But then came that time when I made a deposit only to find out 10 minutes later on one of the hyip discussion sites that they haven't been paying for the last 5 days. Oops!

I mean, seriously, how can these programs stay online even after they've been proven not to be paying! Someone must have forgotten to press the off button on many of these hyip scripts.

It's even better to do a quick search on some of the big hyip forums or even Google.

A few minutes research can make a big difference to the end profit.

Mistake 9: Investing big at the end of the year
Let me take you back to the end of 2004 ... A hand full of solid HYIPs started to come out on top. More and more people invested big into these "safe, established, sure things". Including yours truly.

Things were looking good.

It wasn't until mid December that things started to fall apart, in a big way. One after one these established HYIPs started falling.

It's true that online marketing hits rock bottom around Christmas time. People don't have as much money to throw around. In fact, many people probably start withdrawing their HYIP profits around this time leading to a mini-HYIP-recession as it seems.

This is an established trend that seems to appear online year after year. I know I won't be making any big investments coming into December.

Mistake 10: Not tracking your returns clearly
Six months into HYIPs I realized that I was tracking the wrong things!

I was keeping track of all my individual deposits and withdrawals, which is great. But I didn't have an overall picture of how my portfolio was performing.

I wasn't able to say exactly how much I'd put in, what my portfolio is worth, my overall returns to date and my project returns for the coming month.

After experimenting with a few different Excel spreadsheet designs I realized that for me the key is to keep my tracking sheet very simple so I can see the big picture.

Here are some of the main things that I track for each HYIP:

- Name
- Web Site Address
- Investment (amount invested from egold, etc)
- Worth (what's the current investment worth in this HYIP)
- Earnings (how much I've withdrawn from this HYIP into my own egold account, etc)
- Earning vs Investment ratio (what's my profit/loss)
- Projected profit for next month
- Any comments, interest rate, concerns, etc.

This way I can list all the HYIPs on a single page with a total at the bottom.

By focusing on these high level numbers as opposed to the individual deposits/withdrawals I'm able to see the big picture, where I'm over exposed, where I'm having success and a lot more.

Putting together a suitable spreadsheet makes the daily task of tracking your HYIPs a pleasure.

Summary
So here is a summary of my top mistakes:

Mistake 1: Spending too much too soon
Mistake 2: Not testing the withdraw function
Mistake 3: Focusing on individual programs instead of the overall plan
Mistake 4: Not getting your original spend back quickly
Mistake 5: Getting greedy
Mistake 6: Doing what everyone else is doing
Mistake 7: Saving up for one big withdrawal
Mistake 8: Investing without doing
Mistake 9: Investing big at the end of the year
Mistake 10: Not tracking your returns clearly

At the end of the day, making money with HYIPs is as much an art as it is a science. By setting and following your own rules you can dramatically reduce your risk of losing money and hopefully significantly tip the balance in your favor to make some serious returns.

Happy HYIPing!

The evident HYIP scam

Before to start reading, I just want to remark you that well organized scam, made by companies with a real marketing-scam plan, with certificates, fiscal addresses and telephone numbers are very difficult to recognize. These companies are able to get the affiliate trust and stay up and running for months before to definitely scam. Sometimes, there are sign that could help investors understand the scam, but we will discuss about this later.

Now let’s focus on scam “dedicated” to newbies. The kind of scam that everybody faced at least once in his/her investor life especially in the beginning of his HYIP experience. First of all you need to understand how well organized scams work.

Well organized scam
Some very resourceful guy registers 20 domains. On 10 domains he load a monitor script, maybe a free version, then on the other 10 domains, installs copycat HYIP sites, just changing some images, some text, etc. With outstanding offers that claim to bring the investor something like 444% in one our, 1200% in one day, or just a daily 60% with minimum deposit of $100. These false HYIP, also claim to have thousand of investors registered and $ billion invested. They result paying on dozen of monitors, that by chance are all owned by the same individual.

The newbie comes to the web-scam-site, reads about so attractive interest rates, he checks the rating (on fake monitors), and thinks, “well for $10 I can try, it’s the 1200% per day!” now the scam is done. You’ll never see that $10 back in your pocket. You’ve just been scammed. We must also warn you that this kind of sites, continue survive and scam dozen of users, thanks to complicity of monitors and forums, that earn money displaying their banners.

The scam is so evident that experienced investors do not spend time posting threads on forums warning newbies, and nobody posts these scam sites on serious monitors, so at the end you cannot find any negative comments. You’ll just find positive comments on fake monitors. This way, the scammers can continue their activity without problems, basically because their activity is focused on to newbies.

Low lifetime expectation programs
Another binding scam-marketing plan, consists in creating an accurate Ponzi scheme. Nice graphics, advertisement campaign, with an absolutely no sustainable interest plan, like 27% for 4 days, 22% for 5 days. These schemes are principal included and percentages are impossible also for a Ponzi scheme.
How can they build a business with a capital decreasing just after the first day, and also pay interests? Come on, it’s a joke! How can they pay 22% daily with capital decreasing day by day?

Usually these programs collapse after 15-30 days. Simply because their schema is unsustainable. Their lifetime is strictly connected to the time needed to get back the principal+interests. Just to be clear: 27% schemas in 4 days will long last less time than 10% in 12 days schemas.

To survive, Ponzi games need some time for capital to grow, while new funds come in. The more this time is extended, the more the schema can survive. In conclusion, higher interests in very short time are for project with and extreme short life. Usually it’s quite impossible to get out of these schemas without loose money.

Alarm signs
Avoiding to become paranoid, just keep an eye on when programs make something important to catch investors attention, like special very remunerative programs, world conferences, email claiming to have other sites cloning their investment programs, a transformation in a private club and whathever action made to inflate trust in investors and by consequence lowering their caution. Forget about trust and just think on numbers, never, never, double your investments when you see these signs.

When an investment program starts acting like this is ready to explode and let all investors with pants down, and most important with an empty wallet. So, try to get the more funds back is mandatory and wait at least 30-60 days to see what happens.

How to avoid bullshit

This post is based on a recent story. The intention is to explain how some programs are just and to achieve this we will use a very bad program called topfinancial.com. At first look the site seems built by a 15 yo boy. These people claim to be in the financial biz from 1996 and they have a so basic site? Maybe they do not earn enough money.

When making some researches seems the company lifetime seems true. The domain is registered in 1996 and on their sites there are archived news until 2008.

In their rating page, on the monitors seems the site is just 10 days old, so that 2008 archived news are totally fake. They claim to be active from 1996 because they think nobody could verify. But they’re wrong, because there is a way to know how a site was in the past years. I’m talking about archive.com.

If you go to http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://topfinancial.com you’ll reach the time-machine that will show you snapshots of site in the past.
* 12/12/98: http://web.archive.org/web/19981212033518/http://www.topfinancial.com/
* 12/04/00: http://web.archive.org/web/20001204160200/http://www.topfinancial.com/index.html
* 11/29/02: http://web.archive.org/web/20021129234947/http://topfinancial.com/
* 12/12/04: http://web.archive.org/web/20021129234947/http://topfinancial.com/

During this period the site was selling a real-estate software manager.
* 10/18/05: http://web.archive.org/web/20051018111316/http://www.topfinancial.com/
* 08/20/06 : http://web.archive.org/web/20060820174830/http://www.topfinancial.com/

In the 2005/06 the site is abandoned and contentless.
From 2007 until today no archive, that means site were not online.
Looking at whois:
Updated Date: 05-sep-2009
Creation Date: 16-dec-1996
Expiration Date: 15-dec-2012

Forget about creation date and take a look at updated date, meaning the last time when registrant data has been modified, that probably is the date of domain purchasing. Something like 15 days to take the domain online again with new registrant and a fake life starting in 1996.

A lot of scammers use this technique to assure investors that they’re online for a long time. Many, many programs lie about their lifetime, and when this bullshit is so evident you should go away form these sites. If someone wants to scam users, should be more careful and act with more style … :)

On the end, the Comodo logo placed at the bottom of the home page, is just an image that’s not linked to the certification, so this is fake too! Again, this is just an example, maybe this program could work for months or years, it’s up to you to decide if to invest or not.

Priority investment guidelines on the HYIP market

Priority investment guidelines on the HYIP market.
We hope this material will be in use for those, who hasn`t chosen the right guideline that would help along the capital growth and development.

First of all, we`d like to dwell upon the spectrum of guidelines, offered by HYIP market. Before clarifying, what program it is better to invest, every person, surely, studies methods of the work of the program and, correspondingly, principle of using the investments.

Today, in overwhelming majority, you will have the following list of methods to get the income: gold, currency (FOREX), betting, stock, oil market and a small sector of other investments, which are not so popular.

Among all possible, gold and FOREX are, certainly, the most priority, though other ones can also be interesting with a competent approach. OK. Let`s do it step by step. What is the best among all mentioned and where does the income come from - we tried to investigate the problem. So, starting with the most popular guideline - gold investment.

What do the HYIP programs, working with gold, imply? These are the programs, using investment funds, buying and selling gold bars. I.e. your money are used to buy and sell gold. The thing is that the situation in the world, hence on the markets, will never be stable. There is a war in one region, crop failure - in another. Continuous defects destabilize, reflecting on currencies rates and gold prices.

Besides, that`s important, buying and selling gold itelf, influences the price as well! In such a way, big speculative companies can influence the market prices aloud, buying up and selling substantial volumes from currency reserves!

However, It`s equal, you can both earn money or go bankrupt, and experience and trader`s good work (the one you entrust with your funds) only, can be a guarantee, that your funds are used properly. It`s also worth mentioning that gambling on this market is practically impossible without significant funds that appear with the help of HYIP.

The second guideline and practically the same as the first one, according to funds` turnover is using funds on FOREX, currency market. The terms are the same to gold market and the ``disturbance`` reasons are also the same. Here is the only difference: investing to a project, selling and buying on FOREX market, you invest to money purchase, not to gold (or any other valuable metals).

Another peculiarity of the market is that it`s more flexible and universal than the gold (or any other valuable metals) one. The thing is that the currencies prices are more or less stable in here.

So, if the US dollar is falling in price, another currency is rising in price, in such a way you can be successful for a long time, transferring the funds from one currency to another, hence keeping the growth dynamics. Still, the keenness of wit and fast decisions taking is needed here.

Choosing between those two parallels, we wouldn`t like to differentiate. The principle, volume and opportunities of both markets are huge. As you like. Accordingly, realizing the sense of their work, every investor can answer such an important question: how do they get so high percents?

The thing is that buying and reselling gold or currency, you can benefit, which achieves multiple (!) increasing of the amount deposited. It`s real, both for offline and online HYIP. Now let`s talk about some less popular, still interesting investment guidelines.

So, part of programs use betting funds, stock etc. We`ll say straight away - each of these guidelines is rather vexed. For instance, sporting betting (stakes), popular nowadays, is the most risky and quite similar to HYIP games, it`s better to gamble alone (though, if you know nothing about it, you can go bankrupt, then you should better entrust a professional with your funds or think of any other ways of investment).

Working with stocks or any other high-priced valuables (oil market, for example) means long term cooperation and depositing sufficient amounts. you should always be a professional, however it`s not so risky as in all the other cases. It`s because the activity on these markets is comparatively small, the changes don`t happen so sharply and suddenly.

Important feature for the programs, you are planning to invest into, is mostly, how fast you will receive your profit. Three variants are possible: daily payouts, weekly payouts and monthly payouts. Besides there are multiple ways of withdrawing your funds before the end of a program (in some program you are not able to withdraw funds till a certain date).

We discussed this question in one of the previous issues, now we can say that longer projects (the payouts take place not so frequently) are much more profitable and serious. Admins of these programs work with large amounts and investments are in work for a long period of time, that`s why the minimal investment amount is usually too high (up to 1000$). It`s hard to name well-defined priority in this sphere. Our advice is - combining.

The 10 Laws of Mastering HYIP

Law 1: Accept that HYIPs Are Ponzis
Just think of it this way: nothing will consistently give you an ongoing daily 2-3% yield on your investment! Even brokers, who work for Wall Street investment boutiques, can’t even offer you that kind of rate!

Law 2: First In, First Out
Timing Is Everything! You must know when to invest into an HYIP and when to get out of an HYIP with a profit. Identify when to get in, and when to get out of an HYIP

Law 3: Decent Site=Decent Cash
You need the ability to simply look at an HYIP website and say instantly "This Site Will Not Earn Me Any Money". Now that's powerful powers!

Law 4: Rates/Referral System
Knowing the rates of an HYIP could mean whether you’ll see your returns or not! Crucial Information!

Law 5: Short Term/Mid Term/Long Term
There are three types of HYIPs. Short Term, Mid Term, and Long Term HYIPs. Learn what your next HYIP falls under and what it means for you! Oh, and for all the "wanna be pros" you can still make lots of money with Short Term and Mid Term HYIPs.

Law 6: Due Diligence
Everyone knows in the back of their mind that they need to “do their homework” before they invest in an HYIP!

Law 7: Do Not Compound
Compounding in an HYIP is the first step in losing all your money - or is it? Learn when and when not, you should compound.

Law 8: Initial Investment
Making your first investment is the hardest part of HYIP Investing, but you should know that you'll come out ahead!

Law 9: Reinvesting
After your Initial Investment, you need to know if you still want to stick with an HYIP. Simply assuming that reinvesting will get you paid again is nonsense, you'll only hit rock bottom.

Law 10: Receiving Your Cash
It may sound simple, but when should you cash out? Receiving Your Cash is the most important part of HYIP Investing, so why screw up and do it wrong?

HYIP’s also referred to as HYGP’s

H.Y.I.P's acronym stands for High Yield Investment Programs. Some like to refer to these as H.Y.G.P's (High Yield Gambling Programs). I also prefer the latter for the fact that 9 out of 10 programs online these days are not in actual fact "Investments" although some people consider them to be because they expect to see some sort of return back on their spends/deposits made into these income revenue streams. This type of wrong thinking is part of the added risks people create because they do not know what they are getting themselves into. I'll explain more on this a little later.

You'll be very lucky to find such programs who claim they to be Investment driven, i.e., from outside sources. And if you do find one, I'll bet your bottom dollar you will not find one that either will last, or pays the amounts between 5-20% per week and keep paying, anything less, sure, it's possible but I wouldn't back my house keys on it.

It has been known for some of these types of programs who pay more than 5% per week to last years. I've personally been in programs that paid between 5-50% per week and lasted for over 3yrs, but they are very rare to come across.

When you're confronted by another to join H.Y.I.P's, try not to be greedy and lose control of your emotions thinking that you've found something that will set you for life financially. Look for programs that pay between 1-3% per day, or per week and have lots of members. When viewing a Web site you'll need to be made aware of the Web site design, i.e., one that has a modern look and feel to it and not one that looks like a template bought for $59.00.

Back in the days, many program administrators didn't purchase Web site space from Web Host providers. They used FREE hosting from places like Yahoo's GeoCities web space. These were very popular for many years until the roaches came in from cracks of the internet-walls and started scamming people, so Yahoo's GeoCities stormed in and locked things down tight and changed the way people were able to use GeoCities for personal use. However, even still to this very day people use Yahoogroups to conduct Money Making Opportunities.

You see, this is where most of it all started. Mailing lists like; Delphi, Yahoogroups, MSN Groups, and any other free type of mailing public list. It wasn't before long this trend whittled to down nothing and people were looking for somewhat more secure methods of participating in the H.Y.I.P/H.Y.G.P Arena so these operators could be traced because monitoring a person's ISP (Internet Service Provider) Address just didn't cut it.

Most if not all are ponzi's, i.e. the money that comes in from the last person pays the first person who entered the program. There is a fine line here and somewhat ironic thinking behind the people who complain when these programs run out of money to pay other members. When some find out they're in a Ponzi, they don't care for as long as it pays.

First, you have the laws in certain countries that prohibit you from operating these type of income revenue vehicles, the ironic part is the National Lottery, Tax, Scratch Cards, Casino's, etc, are all PONZI's. It's okay for the Government to operate or pass on the green light for people to operate these providing they receive a slice of the action. It's a kind of two faced way of looking at it, one rule for one and another for someone else.

You see, the Internet is not regulated by any law on this planet, the Internet is too large and it will take many 10's of years before a regulatory body steps in to control over 1billion internet users which is increasing by over 50,000 Internet users per day. At this current time there is approximately 907,309,130 computers connected to the internet, you can imagine the nightmare it would be to control every single person.

But having saying this, it's not illegal to take part. I say this because no one on this God's green earth can control how you spend your money.

As time moved on, people who operated such programs were looking for ways to get the SEC, FBI, etc off their backs. Low and behold, it didn't take long before a new trend emerged that put life into these programs by means of gathering more people to take part as those who joined before hand, and still continue to this very day, backed off due to the paper pushers placing pressure on the operators of such programs, which resulted in many innocent members, and operators losing money because of being closed down or members didn't take part any more, they all cashed in leaving the pot dry and empty - this, unfortunately is a trend that will never die, "Hit and Runners".

This is one of the elements of risks that today many of us face and worry about when taking part in these programs. And this is one of the most important things, in my opinion to do - adopt a spending strategy in every single program you join whether it's popular or not. And do not let others influence your choices, no matter how well you know them or knowledgeable they come across to you in idle forum posts, have your own piece of mind and think for yourself.

Secondly, you have these people who have nothing else better to do with their time and just like to complain, I guess you could say they're a bit like Phil Hellmuth (9 time winner of the Worlds Largest Poker Tournaments) who hates to lose and never satisfied...lol Just kidding, I'm sure he doesn't go to the lengths that I've seen some of these people go to in the HYIP/HYGP Arena.

I've seen countless nuisance makers causing trouble for everyone in these programs placing each and everyone's money at more risk; again, the ironic part is they were a member of that program they are complaining about.

They go on and on how it was a "ponzi scam" - funny how they never said anything before hand when they made a deposit to intentionally profit from it. Sincerely, these people are just crazy and don't know what on earth they are talking about or care about the harm they cause upon others. When you see people of this type who start complaining, it's time to start monitoring that program with hawk eyes, you'll be surprised what damage they can do.

These people are so uneducated on how the HYIP/HYGP Arena works, it makes me wonder how they managed to work out how to turn on the PC and connect to the Internet.

You can be sure that these people are either one way minded and think that the world owes them something or they're just a newbie letting off some steam. As I say, try to be careful, and if at all possible try not to take too much notice. And if people reframe from replying to their idiotic posts to discourage people it wont bring any unnecessary attention to a program that is paying regularly, ponzi or not.

But how do you know if they are trying to warn us the program isn't paying?

This shouldn't be hard to work out, if you're not due a payment yet but know of people who are, ask them if they are being paid or have gotten paid. Check the program's Forum; are people complaining, are posts being deleted, is the Admin' replying to the posts, etc? Or you can always ask-me-about it if you're unsure.

How can you find out if the program is a Ponzi or not?

This is one of the easiest things to find out.

Unfortunately for some or many should I say are bone idle and will not ask the administrators. Don't ask me why I can't work it out myself. Many people prefer to ask another member on another forum. In my opinion this is a big No-No as a lot of the information placed on forums is misconstrued.

You're really better off asking the Admin', besides it gives you a good overall feeling of how the administrators work with people, response times to answer a question, etc. So when it comes down to advocating (for a better word) a program with your referral link, it's always good to be sure of what it is before hand. Trust me; you'll get to grips with the HYIP Arena more by seeking the Admin's view, honest or not. Remember, speculation is not a Fact. Get it from the horse's mouth - so to speak. You'll understand more as your experience in this industry grows.

Although those of us feel sorry/guilty for inviting others to an opportunity who may lose, the feeling is different to some extent, but not entirely, if the information you gathered were in fact from the Admin', you'll feel a lot better inside knowing you didn't rely on half ass concocted information from those who speculate for a living - I hope you an see where I'm coming from and not misunderstanding me.

Some of the information you find out there on forums are also helpful. Separating the bullshit from the truth is the hardest part. If you're a researcher like me, you'll go that one step further to find it and separate yourself from those who lose their money so you stay above the rest, and if you will, share your information so others can profit from it too as we're all in the same boat here looking to keep ones head above water.

Try not to be afraid when wanting to know more information, as I say, ask the Admin'. Questions like "How does your program make money?", "Can you back it up with documents how the program makes money", "If not, why?", "Can we see evidence of the reports you claim on your Web site that says you trade into Foreign Currencies and the Stock Exchange", etc, etc.

You see, a lot of Admin's will not supply this information. They will come out with some excuse like; "Sorry we are unable to get the reports at this present time", "Sorry, we do not have access to them", "Sorry, but our privacy will be jeopardized if we supplied this information", etc, or they will just plain blank (ignore) you. And even if they did supply the information, make sure you get that information checked out, if you do not know how to personally do it yourself, ask-me-about it or ask someone else to verify it for you.

The fact is 9 times out of 10 these people do not have sufficient evidence. And they have a lot to hide.

Hiding the real truth such as the proper percentages being made while ponzi-ing the rest of the member's money. These people are classed as those who deceive you for what you're worth (or lack of - experience and know how) and at best times avoided. They're basically setting themselves up for a nice nest egg on your funds, once your money runs out they close down the program then make up some excuse, while the money they placed into another income source(s) that wasn't any where near adequate to make the dues out to their member base, they live off. Nasty I know, but it happens.

As mentioned before, try looking for programs that pay 1% - 3% per day for a total of 150% to 200% returns on your deposit; in other words 50% to 100% profit. But I must stress, don't expect to be paid the full amount if you enter the program in the late stages. We normally class a program in its late stage when it's about 3 to 6 months old as these programs do tend to last up to around 9 to 15 months if we're lucky.

Do the math before entering the program. If a program pays 1% per day, even on a weekend (that's a big red flag right there, no investment pays on the weekends), work it out. 100 days to receive your money back before you're even in the profit zone with them. Don't go for programs that pay you in one lump of 120% - 200% or more. These do not last, trust me.

High Yield Investmenmt Progams (HYIP's) Scam Statistics

I usually stay away from predictions, but in a world wide recession and the reduction of income earning opportunities, the level of fraud and scams may increase during the upcoming year. I have been scammed in the past and I know numerous people who have fallen prey to scammers as well. The means that many scammers use to scam unsuspecting investors is the organization of online HYIP's.

In an effort to try to better understand when HYIP's are likely to scam their investors we decided to take a sample of thirty two online HYIP's that scammed their clients or simply could not pay investors at the maturity of their investments during the last three months of 2008.

Based on analysis of the lifetime of these HYIP's we noted the following.

  • Average Lifetime of the HYIP's 103.5625 days
  • Average Maturity of the HYIP's 138.34375 days
  • Average Minimum Investment 26.375 days
  • HYIP's that stopped paying after 1 month 11 of 32 HYIP's
  • HYIP's that stopped paying after 2 months 17 of 32 HYIP's
  • HYIP's that stopped paying after 3 months 22 of 32 HYIP's
  • HYIP's that stopped paying after before maturity of investments 8 of 32 HYIP's
  • HYIP's that Lasted more than 1 year 1 of 32 HYIP's

What should all this mean to you?

  • HYIP's are extremely risky and in some cases illegal, so do your due diligence before you sign up for any HYIP. You can check HYIP Monitors, Forums and Blogs for investor complaints;
  • If you decide to sign up with an online HYIP, ensure that you get in early and leave quickly, as there is a high probability that you will be scammed within 3 months;
  • Invest what you are willing to lose. Some usually invest the minimum in the beginning and then invest higher amounts the more comfortable they feel with the program; and
  • Stay away from HYIP investments greater than a year, as they almost always scam within a year.

XrateInvest Review - Sex and the Cash

The program that I want to look at today is one that I have to say must surely rank alongside the most original concepts in the HYIP business today. No, it’s not ForEx, hedge funds, or anything to do with Wall Street. It’s time to make sure the kids are safely tucked up in bed because today I’m talking about XrateInvest, an online investment program claiming to have a stake in the adult entertainment industry. Ok, so that’s a polite term for pornography to some folks, but whatever you call it, there’s a hell of a lot of money in it.

Like any other HYIP you can make what you like from their cover story about their business activities, I simply want to assess them as a viable route to a quick and short term profit on behalf of myself and any fellow HYIP players who like reading my reviews. You are welcome to accept or reject my reviews of course but I hope you will at least consider them and make your own decision. So what are the plans on offer from XrateInvest?

There are three of them in total ranging from short to short-mid term in duration and making daily, weekly, and on expiry payouts so there’s a good mix in there for such a small number. The first option open to you is called The Short Time Plan and its open to deposits between a minimum of $5 and a maximum of $500. The investment term is 14 days, at the end of which you will receive a once off payment of 114% of your principal, which is included in the payment. So invest $100 and 14 days later you get back $114. What could be simpler?

If you prefer a more substantial return plus the peace of mind that comes with receiving at least a small part of your investment given back to you in the form of daily payments then consider The Entrepreneur Daily Plan. It runs for a duration of 28 days and promises to make a daily payment of 1.5% interest on deposits starting at a minimum of $25 and going to a maximum of $10,000. Should you decide to join this plan with $100 XrateInvest will make a daily payment of $1.50 which accumulates to a total profit of $42 by the time it expires. Your principal is then returned.

And finally, (and strangely enough for this industry the most rewarding option is not the riskiest one), we come to The Xrate Weekly Plan. An investment here will cost you a minimum of $50 and goes right up to a maximum of $50,000. The plan runs for a term of six weeks and as the name implies will make weekly payments. Those payments will be 17.5% of your principal meaning that for a $100 deposit here XtraInvest will pay you $17.50 per week for 6 weeks. That will eventually add up to $105 which you can consider as pure profit as your principal will also be returned here.

In the best tradition of short term investment plans we can see that there is nothing overly complicated in there and no hidden surprises. They are all affordable to as wide a range of investor as possible and all have equal potential to become popular with the program members. The choice of payment processor includes LibertyReserve, PerfectMoney, StrictPay, and Pecunix. Acceptable for an HYIP of average quality. The most unique feature about XrateInvest however, and I haven’t really decided if it’s really that much of an advantage yet, if that you can join the program in two ways. Either by registering your account or without registering. Should you decide to register then you will be a member in the for want of a better word “traditional” sense with your own back office area and be required to request your payments from there. If you prefer to avoid all of that and go for direct payments straight into your e-currency account without requesting them then you are free to do so by not registering. Of course you also forgo the benefits of having a members area within the XrateInvest website. That of course is purely a matter of personal preference. I know that some of you prefer to have a members area and some of you do not particularly care. My only concern about whether it’s an advantage or not is do to with it causing confusion, or at least an increased workload for the admin.

Moving on to the other aspects of XrateInvest, they are hosted on a dedicated server by the ever popular HushHosting. So expect few, if any, problems arising from that. In the four or so weeks that XrateInvest have been operating so far I am not aware of them having any significant downtime issues and the other program admins that I have spoken to seem to be universally positive in their praise for HushHosting as a service provider. They are also running off a licensed Neversay script.

Customer support is available through a variety of options, starting with the usual online e-mail ticketing system. There is also the ever welcome sight of a Live Chat feature. It’s not a 24 hour service however, so only when the admin is online. Multi-lingual support is also available through a series of dedicated e-mail addresses. Although the XrateInvest website itself is only available through one language, you can contact support operators via e-mail in English, French, and German. And as the admin claims to be based in Lithuania I guess speakers of that language should have no problems with support. Even Russian speakers may wish to try but of course there is no guarantee of that. A postal address is also published (in Lithuania). Of course I can’t verify that but in a purely online business I’d attach limited importance to that anyway.

The most eye-catching thing about XrateInvest is obviously their cover story about their business activities and how they are re-investing their members money. Now I know there is an endless supply of juvenile jokes to be made here but the fact is that, in my opinion at least, these claims have yet to be substantiated. Granted the world of adult entertainment is a multi-billion dollar industry just as surely as the regular HYIP staples like ForEx and precious metals, but that doesn’t prove anything beyond the admin’s creative imagination and desire to run a unique and highly distinctive investment program that is unlike anything else around at the moment. Mission accomplished on that front but I will still, as always, reserve judgment on the business aspect of XrateInvest for the time being. I will admit though, it’s an infinitely more plausible cover story than some of the rubbish I’ve seen over the years and am prepared to accept (with a little more evidence) that there might be some truth to it.

But for now I’ll still treat it like a regular HYIP and take the risks that go with it. And gentlemen, one of those risks is your wives and girlfriends getting a look at your payment processor account or your browser history. So a little discretion ok? LOL!

When the HYIP Game is Over!

Oilmongers.com used to be a premium HYIP according to some HYIP monitor site such as HYIP.com or HYIPexplorere.com. However, effective from 30 October, 09 this site went down and yet to became alive. In effect they are out of business as they have stopped paying. Look at the picture above - this is the notice that you will see when you visit there site.

The notice said DDoS protection service has been suspended due to non payment. Hah! DDos is about to protect the site from denial of service attack and now the protector itself is not protected as the site owner has stopped paying the service.

HYIP is a dangerous game and this is an example how a HYIP site can stop paying you. They will definitely come up with all the excuses to tell you why they are unable to continue or pay you as such. But those excuses are simply stories. Because they have got enough fund it is time to quit.

Game is over!

HYIP pros are different. They learn first how to do all the hard things. They learn all about HYIP strategies and techniques. They set goals, make daily and weekly plans and measure their progress. Steps to Maximize Your HYIP

Any investor wishes to make money in HYIP. Finding a successful high yield investment program is not enough to maximize your high yield investments. Certainly it is not easy to maximize your return on investment from best HYIP. The main point of this article is the strategies how to find "fruitful" and prosperous HYIP and to maximize your interests from this HYIP.

Before we start to discuss the strategies, we should find an answer to the question what is best HYIP. Well, it is difficult to answer because there are various possibilities. For some investors the "fruitful" HYIP is HYIP with huge daily interest, for other HYIPers the "fruitful" HYIP is HYIP with instantly withdraw. Undoubtedly, all these investors are right.

I guess than each investor wishes the "fruitful" HYIP which is online for a long time, not just several weeks or a few months. Moreover, each investor wishes that "fruitful" HYIPs must have fast support. Some HYIPs reply to your questions within 1-2 days and, of course, it is too long! I am a potential investor and I need to get an answer immediately!

Certainly, you can find many answers in FAQ section of a great number of HYIP web sites but sometimes you need information which you can not find there. If HYIP has phone support so it is very good, you can always phone them and get answers to your questions.

According to many experienced online investors, one of the most important things for the "fruitful" HYIP is fast withdraws. No one wants to wait 1 or 2 days till they receive payment. Certainly, everyone wants to get money within few hours. "Fruitful" HYIPs have to pay fast.

All investors agree with me that HYIP security is significant in online investments. Of course, the "fruitful" and prosperous HYIP must have the server protection to guarantee that users' accounts are safe and secure. Real "fruitful" HYIPs spend a lot of money for hosting and advertising as well as Ddos protection and security.

If HYIP has Prolexic Ddos protection it is a really good sign of seriousness of this high yield investment program because according to online security data, Prolexic Ddos protection costs more than $2000 per month.

Daily interests are the subject of many hot discussions on online HYIP forums because investors have very different opinions. Some people prefer 10-20% daily and other like 1-2% daily. Undoubtedly, the prosperous HYIP invests money into Forex trading and to other contemporary industries. So if HYIP earn money in Forex they can not offer 10-20%. It is impossible and each investor knows that.

Now the time is to discuss ways how to maximize your HYIP. After having found the "fruitful" and prosperous HYIP, the key to having successful investments is to build a safe, diversified portfolio and to extract your own money as quickly as possible. This will limit risk to your capital because if one programme closes, you will still have the others to fall back on.

Before investing in any programme, you should do a little research on it. I mean you should remember the main features of prosperous HYIP, namely daily interests of no more than 2-3%, excellent support, high qualified web site design of the HYIP company and best users' account protection.

Besides, HYIP scripts are easily to get a hold of and this makes it easier for fraudsters and scammers to operate. One of the things to look for is the programmer's reputation if they are paying consistently.

When the investor makes any online investment, his aim is to extract his money as quickly as possible. This is because the investor wants to be able to invest using the profit he made from the high yield investment programme to protect his own capital. For example, a typical investment could be $100 then, after 30 days, the investor would extract his own money and re-invest the profits so that he is making risk that he uses "other people's money".

Another meaningful thing is that the investor will need to make use of referral systems to explode his profits from his investments. This is when the investor recommends someone to the programme and receives commission for it. This usually creates residual income for the investor which means him the opportunity to invest more of "other people's money" to make even more cash.

This article will help you find "fruitful" and prosperous HYIP and maximize your high yield investments.

High Yield Investment Program (HYIP) is Very Risky

High yield Investment Programs or HYIP "Investing" is kind of money game, sort of gambling. In US this is not legal either. If you can afford to lose some of your money, you can join this fun game. Sometimes it is possible to make some profit if you know the rules and pay due diligent.

But don't think it is an extra income source for you rather think it as a source of entertainment - like poker or casino. You should be ready to face that one day the HYIP admin will definitely scam you, run away and hide with all your account balance. Have you been able to withdrew your principal long before that very day is the tricky question.

You can make money with them if you have the right strategy. But remember the golden rule, never invest more then you can afford to lose.

Disclaimer: We do not promote or endorse any programs listed here. The information is for your own use. Some programs / investments / games may be illegal depending on your country's laws. Do Not Spend what you can not afford to lose!!!
